Sweet Soul Burlesque is the ecclectic, progressive and sasstacular burlesque troupe from Vancouver. Sponsored by burlesque-inspired fashion design company Sweet Soul Designs, the troupe was formed in 2003 by designer Cara Milk, producer Crystal Precious and choreographer Cherry OnTop. Appearing now with the troupe are nine fabulous ladies from heaven, including Your Little Pony, Little Miss Risk, Rita Star, Malaika Millions, Jailbait Jenny, and Starlet Bourbon. The troupe has performed in nearly every venue in Vancouver and has appeared at hundreds of events, including Showcase and CBC Television's season wrap parties, the Sistahood and Fringe Festivals, and fashions shows for designers such as Betsy Johnson, Wolford and John Fluevog. More recently, they have been commissioned internationally and for special appearances (for example, Sarah McLachlin's 2005 tour end party). The Sweet Soul dancers also appear regularly in theme cabaret burlesque shows in Vancouver co-presented by Crystal Precious' production company, Precious Productions. Shows include 2004's "Hanky Panky" series at the Waldorf Hotel with the WetSpots and "Oktoburlesque!"; 2005's "Looking Glass Burlesque" and "The ToyBox Burlesque" and the 2006 International Vancouver Burlesque Festival's "Sassquerade"!
